ProMaster debuts iota Ultralight Tripods

ProMaster has unveiled the iota lightweight travel tripods. The ultralight iota 219 tabletop tripod weighs less than 1 pound and the full size iota 422 tripod weighs less than 2 pounds! The iota 422 includes a detachable stone bag, so you can add weight and stability to your tripod.

The iota travel tripods offer premium design elements and simplified functionality. These tripods are constructed of 12 layers of cross-patterned carbon fiber, which means the grain of each layer is oriented differently from the one below to improve strength and stability. The iota tripods have a streamlined design for a simplified setup. A single-action ballhead uses one knob to control angle and tilt. Open an entire leg at once with grippy twist locks. The iota tripods include an Arca-compatible quick-release system, ball head with built-in cold shoe and bubble level, and removable feet.

The iota’s rapid leg adjustment collar design is fast, easy, and reduces the total weight of the tripod. Convert the tripod from tall to ground-level with a simple turn of the collar, thanks to the all new leg angle mechanism. The iota 422 can handle a load up to 5.5 pounds, and iota 219 handles up to 4.8 pounds, perfect for mirrorless cameras, compact cameras, and entry-level DSLRs.
